Top Most Beautiful Birds In The World
👇
We all know what our favorite bird looks like - but do we know why it evolved to look like this? Discover the amazing new project that tries to build a stronger connection between humans and nature through the fascination caused by the anatomy of birds.
Have you ever looked at a shovel and thought about the reason behind the unique shape of its beak, when other waterfowl seem to be able to do without it?
The physical characteristics of birds are constantly photographed, recorded and analyzed throughout the world of ornithology, but usually this monitoring is only to identify or distinguish specimens from those of other similar species. Why birds evolved to have certain physical features is a question to which the answers are limited to small fragments scattered in the scientific literature of the world.
This is a loss - not only because the physical adaptations of birds are fascinating, but also because the better we understand nature, the more we respect it and (re) connect with it. As the eminent explorer and conservative Jacques Cousteau once said: "People protect what they love, they love what they understand and they understand what they are taught." Nowadays, when the rate of loss of natural areas is catastrophic, such education is essential for changing the attitude of the public.
Take for example the modest big tit (Parus major). It is round and fluffy, with eyes like two beads - but did you also know that every winter it increases the length of its intestine to adapt to the food it receives from humans, after which it shrinks it to digest insects during the summer? The next time you see this common bird, you may have more respect for how it manages to cope with the challenges it faces in order to survive.
Such knowledge helps the public understand why it is so serious when a bird species is declining or even extinct. It is not just a beautiful bird that disappears somewhere, a few thousand kilometers away, but it is the loss of a vital component of a complex network of interactions. Without that species, the entire ecosystem would disintegrate. If you didn't know this, you might think that the disappearance of the big tit in a forest wouldn't matter, because after all, there are a lot of similar songbirds that will play the same role. But look closely at their beaks and you will see that they are all different.
The great tit, with its beak as thin as a needle, feeds on insects, while a species such as the Coccothraustes coccothraustes, with its thick and strong beak, prefers to break hard seeds. If we lose the big tit, we will have to deal with an invasion of harmful insects. Are we losing the botgros? We will end the spread of seeds throughout the area occupied before this species. Understanding the anatomy of birds can also explain why certain threats affect birds differently, even if they eat exactly the same food. Because they have different ways of digesting food, owls can get all the nutrients they need even in polluted habitats, while diurnal predators, such as the bird hawk Accipiter nisus, cannot. This may be one of the causes of the drastic decline in birds of prey in degraded forests [n.n. affected forests that have fewer trees, or fewer species of trees, plants or animals, or that are affected by disease.
A DREAM
As a child, I always dreamed that I wanted to fly through the trees to the skies.
I have been nostalgic for his dream for 45 years and continue to create Master Birds.
I do not want to represent a bird, but to express the quality in itself, its spirit: The flight, the momentum…
Have you ever dreamed of flying? Fortunately, it has happened to us a few times to grow our wings, every time we started working on a new collection of longings. We nurtured our creativity with new and new ideas closely related to various sources of inspiration and thus we discovered our own path, gaining the ability to fly - to rise above the boundaries of time and space. This is what happened when we put thoughts and emotions on paper to develop a line of timeless accessories, inspired by the liberating experience we experience when we create.
Thus was born Măiastra - a collection with a special charm, which evokes the beauty and unsuspected powers of the winged with supernatural attributes that gave it its name. Shoes with special heels, backpacks and bags with bird names and small leather accessories are individualized by an elaborate embroidery made around the four diamonds, symbols of abundance and prosperity, which is a metaphor for perfect balance.
The elaborate embroideries bring you closer to the idea of harmony and balance in everything
These elements represent the four seasons and the four cardinal points, each with its meanings that we try to decipher and integrate into our daily lives. The north is the path we take to success; the western point represents the affective relations we establish with those in our circle. The South is the center of creativity, joy and romance, while the East is seen as the core of family harmony and love. The embroidery on the accessories from the Măiastra collection reflects a perfect balance between the four primordial points, towards which we tend to reach our full potential.
The sign of the Bird Goddess, the primary reason that individualizes the Master collection
At Iutta, we celebrate traditions from time immemorial that allow us to keep in touch with the concerns, beliefs, aspirations, and uplifting emotions of our ancestors. That is why we are constantly looking for symbols with magical attributes that are in line with our creative concepts. Because we focused on the idea of flight, the aspiration of mankind since ancient times, seen as a deeply liberating experience marked by boundless joy, we revisited the sign of the Bird Goddess, an element that became the emblem of the Master collection. "Every community, from tribes to modern nations, justifies itself by resorting to origins. In all times and in all cultures the mentioned origins are valued more than anything else and always reiterated and commemorated urile the myths of the beginnings bring to the attention the very consciousness of the community.
In ancient times, people used primordial signs to communicate with the unseen world. Using their own alphabet, they raised messages to Heaven and Sun, invoking their power and praising their greatness. Associated with the symbol of the column, which denotes verticality and represents the connection between air and earth, the Bird Goddess was revered as the deity who ascends souls to heaven and as a protector of the torso and tissue.
According to superstitions, this was only shown to people with a pure soul. On holidays, women wore them embroidered with the symbol of the goddess - a detail full of color and mysterious meanings, which I highlighted by restyling it and embroidering it on bags, shoes and leather accessories with authentic folk influences. The same celestial being inspired, who materialized his incomparable beauty in the Infinity Column and in the Master.
